This performance explores the tension between digital and offline persona. A projected video depicts my guarded public persona observing a silhouetted figure whose fluid movements represent the inner truth-seeking release. As the piece unfolds, the tension mounts between the watching “self” and the dancing soul on display. Ultimately, the overseer in the video departs, setting the silhouette free to own the stage alone. Witnessing this pivotal moment, viewers feel the surface shedding away to reveal authenticity emerging in its place. Through a personal quest portrayed with subtle power, I invite audiences to reflect on stripping back protective masks to reclaim sovereignty over one’s entire being.
